The restoration of the iconic Pontiac Firebird is hitting a colorful milestone. In the latest installment of Fix Network’s Good Will Driving series, the project moves from structural prep into the high-stakes world of refinishing.

From Rust Valley to the Paint Booth
The journey began when Fix Network acquired a weathered Firebird from Mike Hall of Rust Valley Restorers. The mission? To leverage the collective expertise of the network’s talented technicians and franchise partners to breathe new life into the classic muscle car.

In Episode 4: “Time to Paint!”, viewers get an inside look at the transformation:

• The Paint Process: Watch the team apply a fresh coat of life to the Firebird, made possible through the support of franchise partners and vendor partner Axalta.
• Glass and Detail: The episode also features the precision work of the windshield installation, bringing the vehicle one step closer to its former glory.

Restoring for a Cause
This isn’t just about a beautiful car—it’s about a beautiful cause. Once the restoration is complete, the Firebird will be auctioned off at the 2026 Fix Network National Conference. All proceeds from the sale will go directly to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Canada, helping families stay close to their sick children during treatment.
