Pirelli recently showcased its tires at the Monterey Car Week, a haven for car enthusiasts, that took place from August 9 to 18.
According to the company, Pirelli’s signature custom fit tires were showcased on vintage, as well as, new cars at various events throughout the week of the show.
Keeping up with the spirit of celebration at the Car Week, Pirelli also sponsored the luxury and exotic Italian car show—Concorso Italiano. The car show, held on August 17, featured around 800 vintage vehicles. According to a release by Pirelli, its Collezione tires, which were designed for sports cars built between 1950 and 1980, were custom-fitted on several of the vehicles at the show. Pirelli explains that the Collezione tires made today offer the ideal blend of vintage characteristics and modern-day performance as the company refers to the original archived design specs from the vehicle’s engineers when creating them. Pirelli’s design strategy is based on its belief in creating tires that are a perfect fit for each model vehicle. For this purpose, the company hosted the Pirelli Perfect Fit Award at Concorso Italiano to recognize those exhibitors that were able to provide a perfect fit for their vehicles in terms of tire fitment and overall style, among other things. The company also made a donation to the Concorso Italiano Foundation which supports the children of Jacob’s Heart Children’s Cancer Support Service.
