Race fans get the VIP treatment at the Grand Prix in Montreal.
Winners of Atlas Tire Wholesale’s annual F1 Grand Prix Montreal VIP Raffle joined a select group of VIPs to enjoy a most memorable weekend in Montreal.
The F1 Experience included a prime location in the Pirelli VIP Hospitality Suite for three day access to the F1, hotel accommodations for three nights, and ground transportation to and from the track.
These race fans were also amongst the first to hear about some of Pirelli’s newest tire technologies and innovations. Following Pirelli’s exclusive Welcome Cocktail Party, which took place on June 10th at the InterContinental Hotel in downtown Montreal, Atlas Tire’s guests were ushered into a ballroom for a presentation by Roberto Prieto, President of Pirelli Canada.
Prieto offered an overview of the tire market, and then spoke about some of Pirelli’s innovations, including PNCS technology, which reduces the noise inside the vehicle thanks to a sound absorbing device applied to the inside of the tire. He also spoke about the Scorpion Zero A/S Plus, which replaces the Scorpion Zero A/S, and boasts better fuel economy and better performance, as well as Pirelli’s run flat technology and the new P Zero Trofeo R.
Prieto invited Kevin Hinton, Pirelli’s Prestige Activation Manager, to the stage. Hinton introduced the coloured editions of their P Zero and Winter Sottozero tires, explaining how the tires are painted, what market these coloured tires are likely to appeal to, and how tire retailers can order them for their customers.
Hinton also talked about the Pirelli Connesso, which is a technology that employs a sensor embedded in the wall of the tire in order to communicate with the driver via an app. It provides data about tire pressure, temperature, tire wear and much more. It will also connect the vehicle owner with a retailer, should there be something wrong with the tire.
The three-day VIP treatment left everyone with smiles and memories that are sure to last until the next Montreal Grand Prix in 2018.
