The Winter T/A KSI debuts for the Canadian market.

Ottawa, Ontario—BFGoodrich recently introduced Canadian tire distributors, retailers, and the media to the new Winter T/A KSI, a tire designed exclusively for the Canadian market.

The new tire replaces the BFGoodrich Winter Slalom KSI and promises better snow handling, ice traction, wet braking, wet handling, and snow traction than its predecessor.

The Winter T/A KSI is being promoted as a “Severe Winter” tire, and has been engineered with more silica for extra grip in sub-zero weather, and more stability on warmer winter days.

It boasts a high sipe density for maximum bite, interlocking 3D sipes for increased stability, a serrated shoulder profile for extra grip in deep snow (a feature that was borrowed from the BFGoodrich T/A KO2), larger grooves for better water and slush evacuation, and casing protectors that prevent stones and other debris from damaging the casing.

Expect to see the Winter T/A KSI in stores in September, 2017, and read our full report in the next issue of TireNews.
