The 2016 Global Tire Expo was held from the 31st of October to the 4th of November in beautiful Las Vegas.
As has come to be expected, wheels and tires were front and centre at this annual event, which is hosted by the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), the largest dedicated annual automotive-industry conference.
50th Edition of SEMA Pulls Out All the Stops
Similarly to the past few events, SEMA drew crowds of over 100,000 automotive-industry leaders from over 100 countries, including more than 3000 accredited media specialists. According to organizing committee statistics, upwards of 60,000 buyers from the U.S., Canada, as well as other countries, entered the vendor exhibit area of the Las Vegas Convention Center, which is the traditional location for SEMA, as it offers 185,000 square metres of vendor expo area, which can accommodate up to 270 exhibitors.
Regardless of its impressive attendance numbers and size, SEMA, is not open to the public, as it is reserved exclusively for automotive-industry stakeholders. This is also an amazing statement as to the importance of this event for Canadian automotive-industry professionals, as each year they flock south to SEMA in record numbers.
Don’t go away, as TireNews will be featuring some of vendor partners that attracted our attention.
