Michelin North America recently announced that it has upgraded its MICHELIN Advantage program with application and billing enhancements.

The company had introduced the program in 2007 to aid in catering to the needs of owner-operators and fleets. Under the Advantage program, fleets operating under 100 power units are eligible to receive competitive, consistent pricing across the country for its new MICHELIN heavy-truck dual and X One tires. The company also provides the same level of competitive pricing for fleets that use its bus and RV tires; car and light-truck tires; earthmover, construction, and TWEEL tires; Michelin Retread Technologies retreads; Michelin services; and BFGOODRICH heavy- and light-truck tires.

With the new upgrade, Michelin has made the application process easier in both Canada and the U.S.  Users will be able to apply through their desktop computer or mobile device and avail of the program benefits on the same day. Canadian users also have the option of choosing English or French as the language for the online application. The billing process has also been enhanced, allowing dealers to control the process. They now will be able to register the credit card for the fleet.

“We listened to our dealer network and fleet participants to improve the program with the goal to be more user-friendly for our 20,000 participants,” says Coy Jones, Senior Operational Marketing Manager, B2B – Regional and Small Fleet, Michelin North America. “This improves the purchasing process, and new members do not have to wait to purchase tires. This enhancement continues Michelin’s customer-centric journey.”

The company offers access to the MICHELIN Commercial Service Network to all members of the Advantage program. Under this, their service needs will be taken care of by Tire Industry Association-trained technicians at any of the over 5,000 authorized truck dealer locations. According to Michelin, all these centres deliver their service with professional equipment and management and also follow the rigorous certification and audit standards.

Additionally, members are able to take advantage of the round-the-clock MICHELIN ONCall 2.0 Emergency Road Service free of charge by simply dialling 1-800-TIRE-911. For online updates about the action status of ERS service, members may look up MICHELIN Event Viewer.

Members of the MICHELIN Advantage program also have the opportunity to enhance their business performance since they get access to the member site containing business tools. The program has a dedicated customer service team that responds to queries regarding the program, including pricing, orders, billing, invoicing or purchase history. Members may get in touch with them on business days.
