Akebono Brake Corporation has added five new part numbers across its ProACT and EURO ultra-premium ceramic brake pad programmes, expanding coverage for late-model Ford, Lincoln, Honda, Acura, Infiniti, and Mercedes-Benz platforms.
Akebono’s new ceramic brake pad fitments provide Canadian repair shops with hardware-equipped replacement options to eliminate post-installation brake comebacks on high-volume models.
Akebono Brake Corporation has added five new part numbers across its ProACT and EURO ultra-premium ceramic brake pad programmes, expanding coverage for late-model Ford, Lincoln, Honda, Acura, Infiniti, and Mercedes-Benz platforms. The release introduces three ProACT SKUs and two EURO applications engineered to replicate original equipment braking performance without dust accumulation.
For Canadian fixed operations managers, independent shop owners, and service advisers, persistent brake squeal and excessive wheel dust represent common friction complaints that drain billable bay hours through unpaid warranty re-inspections. The expanded catalog addresses popular volume platforms, including recent iterations of the Honda Pilot, Acura TLX, Ford Edge, and luxury compacts like the Mercedes-Benz CLA250 and A220.
According to Tommy Rivera, aftermarket director at Akebono, four of the five new references come packaged with stainless steel abutment hardware. Sourcing direct-fit pads complete with corrosion-resistant installation clips saves technicians valuable prep time during brake servicing while protecting calliper slides against harsh winter road salt deterioration across provincial driving environments.
