DRiV, Tenneco’s global aftermarket business unit, has announced a targeted application expansion across four of its engine expertise brands: AE Top Engine Expert, Glyco Engine Bearings, Goetze Piston Rings, and Nüral Pistons. The initiative adds nearly 300 new stock keeping units (SKUs) tailored specifically to high-incidence repair and rebuild applications.
For automotive parts distributors, engine rebuilders, and commercial fleet workshops, the catalog update aligns inventory investments with actual bay demand across high-mileage passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.
“As the vehicle population continues to age, combined with the push towards more complex, highly stressed engines to meet ever-tightening emissions regulations, we are seeing increased engine wear and more frequent repairs in certain application categories,” said Nathan Mercer, Senior Product Manager at DRiV. “Our strategy as a trusted partner to aftermarket businesses is to expand coverage by product category for these ‘repair-relevant’ applications.”
Utilizing TecDoc European operating fleet data, DRiV identified specific vehicle and engine platforms experiencing elevated failure and rebuild rates to optimize part availability.
“Rather than asking our distribution partners to spread more resources across a broad engine parc, we are helping them support sales growth and customer loyalty by expanding access to more parts for the engines their customers are rebuilding,” Mercer added.
The full portfolio expansion, which also incorporates DRiV’s Payen sealing brand, is presented to international trade visitors at Automechanika Frankfurt (Hall 4.0, Booth C31).
