Valvoline Global Operations highlighted its technical partnership with Mahindra Racing at the Formula E World Championship finale in London, demonstrating how track data informs its next-generation electric vehicle (EV) fluid lineup.
Serving as Official Partner, Valvoline collaborates with Mahindra Racing engineers to test bespoke transmission e-fluids under extreme thermal, mechanical, and high-voltage stress. The collaborative transmission fluid has been in active race use within Mahindra’s cars since May 2026.
By capturing real-time telemetry and thermal management data during racing conditions, Valvoline applies these insights toward its commercial product development loop, optimizing mass-production EV fluids for retail and commercial fleet markets globally.
“For more than 160 years, Valvoline has evolved alongside the vehicles we help protect, and Formula E is the perfect proving ground for what comes next,” stated Michael Kirtman, Chief Brand Officer at Valvoline Global Operations. “Our collaboration captures hard-won track data to turn what we learn into the next generation of innovation.”
For Canadian automotive fluids distributors, service facilities, and fleet maintenance specialists, Valvoline’s motorsport testing supports the ongoing rollout of specialized, factory-validated fluids for growing EV service operations.
