Six students receive $1,000 bursaries

The E.R.I. Group (Engine Rebuilders Inc.) has announced the recipients of this year’s Richard Miller Education Award, continuing a two-decade tradition of supporting students connected to E.R.I. member companies across Canada.

Each recipient was presented with a $1,000 cheque to assist with post-secondary tuition in technical trades, engineering, aviation, and business administration:

• Tristan Millar (Miami, Manitoba): Entering the Automotive Service Technician program at Red River College Polytechnic to continue his family’s engine rebuilding business.

• Devann Paredes (Lloydminster, Saskatchewan): Beginning his trades studies at Lakeland College-Vermilion toward becoming a Certified Auto Service Technician and shop owner.

• Anthony D’Arcy (Granby, Quebec): Transitioning from Cégep de Granby to a Bachelor of Business Administration program at the University of Sherbrooke to help expand his family’s automotive enterprise.

• Brandt Johner (Grimshaw, Alberta): Entering his third year in Computer Software Engineering at the University of Alberta.

• Wyatt Atchison (London, Ontario): Enrolled in the Management & Organization Studies program at Huron University.

• Ryan Pettit (Willow Beach, Ontario): Second-year student in the Aviation Technician Program at Canadore College.

“The E.R.I. Group is pleased to help recognize deserving individuals who are motivated to improve their personal potential and contribute meaningfully to our industry and society,” stated the selection committee.

For Canadian engine rebuilders, automotive machine shops, and aftermarket members, the awards program highlights ongoing industry efforts to invest in skilled trades and next-generation leadership.
