Automechanika Frankfurt to Host 13 Hands-On Trainings

Automechanika Frankfurt has unveiled a lineup of 13 free, hands-on collision repair training sessions taking place during the international trade show from September 8 to 12.

Developed alongside equipment manufacturers and automotive organizations—including Bosch, Car-O-Liner, DEKRA, DAT, and BETAG Innovation—the bilingual (English/German) workshops cover the complete collision repair cycle:

• Damage Assessment & Diagnostics: AI-supported repair cost calculation, damage documentation, and electronic 3D body measuring.

• Advanced Joining & Panel Repair: Resource-efficient plastic bumper repair, large-surface steel panel dent removal, and combined bonding/riveting/welding procedures.

• Glazing & ADAS Calibration: Windshield replacement protocols under shop time constraints combined with Level 2+ and Level 3 ADAS camera calibration.

• High-Voltage Safety & AI Robotics: Safety measures for high-voltage EV collision repair and AI-assisted robotic refinishing technologies.

“Repairing accident-damaged vehicles today requires a much broader range of expertise than it did just a few years ago,” said Olaf Mußhoff, Director of Automechanika Frankfurt. “Digitalisation, advanced driver assistance systems, and high-voltage technology are fundamentally changing repair processes.”

The curriculum highlights global technological shifts impacting shop throughput, scanning protocols, and structural repair compliance across North American facilities.
