Effective for all new franchise builds and facility renovations, the dual-concept strategy allows franchisees to match real estate environments.

Advancing a multi-year brand transformation following its acquisition by Mavis Tire Express Services Corp., Midas has introduced two national retail store design standards (Contemporary Industrial and Urban Modern)for its footprint of over 1,200 locations across Canada and the U.S.

Effective for all new franchise builds and facility renovations, the dual-concept strategy allows franchisees to match real estate environments. Contemporary Industrial targets high-density suburban corridors with high-contrast exterior branding, while Urban Modern caters to urban commercial zones with retail-inspired interiors. For aftermarket service operators and commercial fleet managers, both layout templates incorporate a standard six-bay floorplan that features a dedicated Advanced Driver-Assistance System (ADAS) calibration bay.

“Driven by customer and franchisee insights, these new store designs offer better bay visibility, larger waiting areas, and cleaner operational workflow,” stated Lenny Valentino, Jr., President and COO of Midas International.

The architectural refresh builds on Midas’ ongoing 70th-anniversary marketing refresh, with the first ground-up Contemporary Industrial site scheduled for completion in early 2027.
