Plews & Edelmann has officially introduced its all-new Edelmann Elite Return Hoses, expanding its premium high-performance steering portfolio into the return side of the hydraulic power steering circuit. 

While the Edelmann Elite brand has spent over six years establishing a benchmark for high-pressure steering lines, this rollout introduces specialized engineering to a return-side segment that historically relied on manual shop fabrication.

The product line focuses heavily on lowering installer bench-time by delivering fully assembled return line configurations. These application-specific units feature exact OEM routing and factory-crimped end fittings, removing the need for technicians to cut bulk hose or reuse old hardware. For warehouse distributors and jobbers, the product is also available in bulk coils spanning 3/8-inch, 1/2-inch, and 5/8-inch diameters. Technical upgrades include a revised rubber formulation that cuts oil-induced swelling by 50% while mitigating thermal and ozone hardening.

“Replacing both lines together protects the rest of the repair, since contaminated return-side fluid is one of the most common reasons a new pump fails shortly after installation,” stated Anthony Holguin, Director of Category Management at Plews & Edelmann. 

The introduction aligns with the company’s broader ecosystem strategy, which encourages jobbers and service bays to treat power steering service as a comprehensive system overhaul (encompassing the pump, rack, hoses, filter, and fluid) backed by the line’s signature 100-year, 1,000,000-mile limited warranty.
