Mitchell 1 has officially rolled out QuickSpecs, an enhanced data-retrieval feature within its ProDemand repair information software.
The technical update is engineered to optimize shop floor productivity by allowing automotive technicians to isolate critical vehicle specifications such as wheel torque, engine oil pressure, and serpentine belt routing without browsing through traditional, monolithic specification matrices.
Leveraging a deeper software integration with the proprietary 1Search Plus engine, QuickSpecs dynamically filters data displays based on active user queries. If a service technician inputs a specific search term like “lug nut torque,” the interface suppresses unrelated technical rows and immediately surfaces the exact hardware specs. Mitchell 1 also overhauled its Common Specs Quick Link dashboard, introducing a collapsible accordion-style layout designed to minimize visual clutter on shop tablets and diagnostic workstations.
“When technicians need specification information, they need it immediately,” stated Cami Hermann, Marketing Director for Mitchell 1. “QuickSpecs helps eliminate unnecessary scrolling and table hunting so users can get directly to the information they need.”
At launch, the QuickSpecs feature fully supports vehicle architectures ranging from 2015 to 2026 model years, with backward-compatible data indexing for 1995–2014 vehicles scheduled for completion by the end of 2026.
