Combined, this brings charity donations to more than $6.2 million since the tournament’s inception.
On June 11, 277 automotive aftermarket industry professionals gathered at Woodington Lake Golf Club near Tottenham, Ontario, for the 51st annual Shad’s R&R Charity Golf Tournament.
This very special event, represents the biggest single day fundraiser for Muscular Dystrophy Canada and is a unique opportunity where individuals from across the entire aftermarket sector in Canada and beyond come together to raise money for a very special cause.

Incredible milestone
In 2025, Shad’s achieved an incredible milestone—$6 million raised in support of MDC since the tournament began.
In 2026, another $220,000 was added to that total. Brad Shaddick, former Chair of Shad’s whose father Fred, originally established the tournament back in 1973, said to the gathered participants at the reception dinner following the tournament, that “without your generosity and participation, this event would simply not happen.”
Charlie Grant from Grant Brothers Sales, current Chair of Shad’s R&R along with volunteers and committee board members, presented Stacey Lintern, and Dr Homira Osman of Muscular Dystrophy Canada with a cheque for the amount of $220,000.
These funds have been critical in funding research and methods to combat Muscular Dystrophy diseases. Although no cure currently exists, these efforts continue to advance treatment, providing new opportunities for people impacted by these terrible diseases.
New goal
In summarizing a remarkable day on the Woodington Lakes course, Shaddick stated that with Charlie and Tiffany McCarthy at the helm, Shad’s R&R has a bright future. Having raised over $6 million since inception, the tournament has unveiled a new goal and a new slogan “The Road to $10 million.”
Given how much has been achieved already, this new goal will likely be surpassed before we know it.
Congratulations to everyone who organized and took part in the 51st Shad’s R&R Charity Golf Tournament. Here’s to the next one and many, many more!
