The magnificent Shelburne Golf & Country Club in Shelburne, Ontario, set the stage for a remarkable event on September 5th, 2024, as the Automotive Aftermarket Retailers of Ontario (AARO) partnered with leading aftermarket companies for its annual charity golf tournament. The event was organized in support of the AIA High Fives for Kids Foundation.
With 110 golfers, hole sponsors, and the automotive community coming together, the event was a resounding success. “We are thrilled with the incredible turnout and the generosity shown by this industry,” said Raymond Proulx, Chairman of the AIA High Fives for Kids Foundation. “The funds raised will make a significant difference in the lives of children in need.”
With an impressive turnout, participants reveled in a day filled with perfect weather, camaraderie, and the thrilling opportunity to clinch a $10,000 hole-in-one prize, generously sponsored by Federated Insurance. Following an exhilarating day on the greens, attendees gathered for dinner and a chance to win a range of prizes generously donated by esteemed automotive companies.
Collective efforts
The collective efforts of golf registrations, sponsor signs, and ticket sales and a donation from Federated Insurance culminated in an astounding total of $10,500 raised for the Foundation, underscoring the generosity and commitment of the automotive aftermarket community toward supporting children in need.
