The global brand puts a spotlight on mechanics every March in appreciation for keeping the world turning.

Valvoline Canada—an international subsidiary of Valvoline’s global products business, a global automotive leader powering the future of mobility through innovative lubricant and fluid products—kicked off its 4th annual Mechanics Month, a campaign to celebrate the value of mechanics around the world.

Highlighting the contribution of mechanics

The month-long initiative will highlight the contribution of mechanics in numerous countries worldwide, including Canada, where the iconic vehicle care brand operates and will celebrate their importance as knowledgeable professionals critical to keeping engines running—and people moving forward.

“Behind every vehicle on the road is a trusted mechanic,” said Katie Reed Hurst, Senior Brand Manager, Global Brand Equity. “It’s their hard work, skill and relentlessness that keeps our world turning.”

This first-of-its-kind program has gained significant traction since the inaugural launch of the Mechanics Month initiative in 2020. Participation has grown from 15 countries to more than 60 and counting. Valvoline Canada has participated in this effort since 2020. In Canada, these industry specialists will be celebrated with social media, giveaways, and unique market-specific events to enhance consumer awareness.

“Over the past few years, mechanics have continually shown the profound and positive impact they have on our economy and our communities,” added Mark Coxhead. “With this promotion, we hope to highlight all of the work these men and women do in order to keep the world turning.”
