Much has already been said about transitioning to a lower-carbon-emissions economy.

Lubricant manufacturers are doing their part and a good example is Chevron. During AAPEX 2022, Greg Croce, Product Life Cycle Management Specialist, provided us with an overview of Chevron’s Havoline Pro-RS, the company’s newest, sustainable, motor oil. It’s the first renewable consumer product available from Chevron and is an ultra-premium, fully-synthetic motor oil, manufactured using 25% sustainably-sourced, plant-based oils.

“We believe this to be one of the highest-performing motor oils available on the market, that also happens to be renewable,” explained Croce. He noted that Pro-RS, represents the beginning of a new line of sustainably sourced lubricants and since its launch a year, ago, has been extremely well received, by customers who are looking for a more sustainably-focused product, and also those that are looking for the ultimate in high performance and protection when it comes to engine oil.
