While visiting AAPEX 2021 in Las Vegas, Autosphere stopped by and visited Edward Gerhardt, Marketing and Data Services Manager and Jennifer Lajcaj, Marketing Specialist, with Akebono Brake Corporation.

At this year’s event, Akebono was the recipient of the award for Best Problem-Solver for Import Vehicles by the Import Vehicle Community Product and Marketing Awards.

The product in question was Akebono’s EURO Ultra-Premium Ceramic Disc Brake Pads for 2012-2021 BMW Sedans and Coupes equipped with Blue-Caliper/Performance Brake Package; EUR1880 (front) and EUR1656 (rear) brake pad kits.

These EURO Ultra-Premium Disc Brake Pads were recognized for having excellent braking performance across a wide spectrum of brake temperatures, while virtually eliminating brake dust and noise, in addition to extending the life of the brake rotors and pads themselves.

Added benefits include less time spent cleaning wheels as a result of brake dust deposits, as well as longer service intervals—providing peace of mind and cost savings for the owners and drivers of these vehicles.

Manufactured in Akebono’s facility in Glasgow, Ky., these made-in-the-USA brake pads are recognized as being some of the best performing and highest quality on the market.

Gerhardt also took time to show us Akebono’s latest product offering for the current generation Chevrolet Silverado full-size pickup, which is due to launch very soon.
