This summer, the Auto Aide Summer Webinar Series is going to run a set of 5 webinars on two separate sets of dates. The same classes will be broadcast on both sets of dates so make sure to only sign up for one of the date sets. The cost for the set of 5 will be $100.00.

To register, click on one of the links below:

Set 1: June 18, 25 and July 2, 9, 16 2020 at 4:00 pm

Set 2:  July 23, 30 and August 6, 13, 20 2020 at 4:00 pm

Each subscriber will receive a technician workbook before each webinar and a video copy of the webinar the day after the class is presented for your records. If you sign up and can’t attend you will receive the video the following day regardless.

Circuit Testing Beyond the Basics

Automotive circuits are becoming increasingly complex. Many circuits are now controlled by computers using transistors, variable resistance ground circuits, and pulse width modulation.

This class examines these types of circuits, how they work, what can go wrong, and how to troubleshoot the circuit. This class will rely on the use of a lab scope to gather waveforms and then the technician will be shown how to analyze the waveform to pinpoint the circuit problem.

Lab Scope Basics

This class looks at the most powerful tool for electrical and electronic system diagnosis. In this class you will cover the basic operation and set up procedures for the Lab Scope including setting the voltage and time base ranges as well as trigger and recording setting.

Engine Mechanical Testing

As engines become more complex, testing them for mechanical faults is getting harder. This class looks at using pressure transducers and current probes to take much of the guesswork out of finding mechanical failures. You will be able to tell quickly if the engine is mechanically sound.

Cylinder De-Activation Systems

These systems have been employed mainly on large V8 engines until recently. In an effort to improve fuel economy and emission even further cylinder deactivation is one of the technologies that are now being seen on smaller engines. This class covers the most popular brands. Class material will include operation, scan data, and diagnosis of these systems.

Hybrid Vehicle Diagnostics

Hybrid vehicle count is increasing, while very reliable they do have some failures. This class looks at Hybrid vehicle operation, common problems and troubleshooting procedures on the most common Hybrids.
