Uni-Select Announces New Addition to Network

Uni-Select has announced that Uni-Select Ontario Stores Inc. has completed the acquisition of the assets of Bay Auto & Truck Parts Ltd. and Bay Auto & Truck Parts (2012) Ltd., collectively known as Bay Auto.

The acquisition was completed on February 1, 2020. Located strategically in Barrie, Innisfil and Orillia, Ontario, Bay Auto has been a member of the Uni-Select network for more than 20 years now. All three facilities will transition into Bumper to Bumper corporate stores over the next 24 months. The 66 employees working at Bay Auto will be joining Uni-Select’s group of more than 1,400 team members across Canada.

“The combined expertise in automotive products and services will strengthen our service offering in the region,” states Uni-Select in a release.

The Uni-Select network currently supports more than 16,000 automotive repair and collision repair shops throughout Canada. The company is able to do so with its expanding network of over 1,100 independent customers and more than 70 company-owned stores. Many of them operate under the Uni-Select BUMPER TO BUMPER, AUTO PARTS PLUS® AND FINISHMASTER store banner programs. Through its automotive repair/installer shop banners, as well as through its automotive refinish banners Uni-Select also supports more than 3,900 shops.
