Robinair released two new connected A/C recovery machines in December 2019—34998 and AC1234-9.
As explained by the company, the fully automatic machines are equipped to provide new and improved service, also allowing technicians to diagnose or recharge standard or hybrid vehicle systems with better accuracy.
More machine status and service info in comparison to previous Robinair models can now be displayed on a new 10.5-inch high-resolution touch screen featured on both the new models. Technicians can also watch and listen to training videos directly on the recovery machines with the help of an integrated speaker available on the new models. Robinair has equipped its new machines with Bluetooth/WiFi-enabled functionality that can be used with A/C accessories. The machines also contain Google Cloud printing and over-the-air update capabilities to improve their performance, as well as vehicle system capacity database info.
Robinair notes in a release that technicians will be able to work on other things while using the latest machines since they have been engineered to recover, vacuum, leak test and charge an A/C system on their own. The company notes that both the machines either meet or exceed their SAE J compliance standards for charge accuracy and recovery efficiency. The 34998 can be used with R-134a refrigerant vehicle systems and AC1234-9 is designed for systems that use the new R1234YF refrigerant.
