On May 30, members of the Canadian automotive aftermarket once again took to the ice at the CAA Arena in Brampton, Ont.

The annual Slapshots for a Cause event is annual friendly competition in which four hockey teams compete to raise money for charity.

This year, the action was fast and furious on the rinks, with the teams duking it out for supremacy and a shot at the infamous Lube Koval Memorial Trophy. The winning Blue team—scored a 5-4 victory of their Red Team rivals and a good time was had by all.

At a reception following an afternoon of fun competition on the rink, the Slapshots for a Cause Board of Directors presented Karen Beaulieu, of the Canadian Cancer Society with a cheque for $10,000.

Since the inception of this popular event back in 1990, Slapshots for a Cause has raised more than $225,000 in support of combating cancer.
