The 36th Edition of the Tokyo Auto Salon was presented from January 12th to the 14th in the Japanese capital. For the fourth consecutive year, this world-class event, which showcases customized vehicles and products destined for the automotive aftermarket, drew a crowd of over 300,000 visitors.

The 440 exhibitors dazzled participants, as a record 880 vehicles and 4348 exposition booths showcased the latest trends and future products of the leading Japanese manufactures present.

The highlight of the event included the auctioning of 16 prestigious and collectible Japanese sports cars. The 1990 Nissan R90ck Sport prototype ended up ruling the auction block, as it fetched an impressive $2 150 894 CAD.

Organized by the Tokyo Auto Salon Committee, the premier event is sponsored by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, as well as the Chiba Prefecture and Ministry of Transport, Tourism and Infrastructure.

Inaugurated in 1983, the Tokyo Auto Salon showcases current and future trends and custom vehicles from across the globe to the global automotive aftermarket, in an enchanting and dynamic setting.
