Acura will unveil the second generation of its completely redesigned sports sedan, the TLX 2021, digitally on May 28.
After a decade-long hiatus, the TLX Type S marks the return of the high-performance version and will be the first to take advantage of Acura’s new 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 engine.
A revolutionary model
Offering impressive gains in style and performance, this vehicle will be the fastest, most maneuverable and best-equipped sports sedan in Acura’s history, and its Type S version will be the pinnacle of the model’s performance.
The new TLX will make its public debut in a short video that can be viewed at https://www.acura.ca/vehicules-futurs/tlx2021 on Thursday, May 28 at 1 p.m. EST.
The exterior of the new model pays homage to the evolving style of the Acura Precision Concept, while recreating the spectacular proportions and design language of the Acura Type S Concept.
An introductory image revealed today highlights the accentuated silhouette and dynamism of the vehicle’s rear end, the muscular curves, the large diameter of the four exhaust tips, the prominent ribs of the rear diffuser, as well as other performance features reserved for the S-Type version.

The new TLX represents the latest step in Acura’s commitment to bringing precision engineered performance to life, as evidenced by the return of the Type S performance versions, and Acura’s new 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 engine that will make its debut under the hood of the TLX Type S.
