The 2020 I&E has NOT been cancelled.

As the start date for NAFA’s 2020 Institute & Expo (I&E) draws ever closer, NAFA is putting to rest any rumours that the event may be cancelled due to concerns over COVID-19.

In a message to NAFA members, NAFA’s President Patti Earley admitted that concerns over the Coronavirus (COVID-19) are perfectly understandable, and that NAFA prioritizes the health and safety of fleet professionals attending the annual event.

That said, NAFA is closely monitoring the virus and its potential impact on the 2020 I&E, and as of now, the event will continue as scheduled.

“We are excited about the conference experience we’ve been designing for you and hope you are looking forward to it as well,” Earley expressed in her message. “Our meetings team, in partnership with the Convention Center and our host hotels, are closely monitoring the Coronavirus and working with the Marion County Public Health Department and Indiana State Department of Health, as well as the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), to share information that may be helpful as we receive it.”

She added, “Currently, there are no confirmed cases of the virus in the State of Indiana and the risk to travelers visiting Indianapolis remains low at this time. I encourage you to follow through with your plans to attend NAFA Institute & Expo between April 6 – 8, 2020.”
