Next generation all-wheel-drive technology is on display at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas.
Nissan’s new twin-motor electric all-wheel-control technology, called e-4ORCE, is on display this year at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Nissan says the technology provides instant torque to all four wheels to deliver balanced, predictable power and handling on par with many premium sports cars.
e-4ORCE was engineered to provide a smooth and stable ride by managing electric vehicle power output and braking performance. Nissan says this results in unparalleled ride comfort and minimal vehicle pitch and dive, making city stop-and-go traffic, as well as travel over rough terrain, less jostling.
“The e-4ORCE twin-motor all-wheel control technology offers precise handling and stability, which gives drivers greater confidence and even more excitement than ever before,” said Takao Asami, Nissan’s Senior Vice President of Research and Advanced Engineering. “This technology enables excellent cornering performance and traction on slippery surfaces and comfortable ride for all passengers.”
No word yet on if or when this technology will go into production vehicles.
