Hyundai Auto Canada posted a combined delivery volume of 12,505 vehicles across its Hyundai and Genesis divisions in October 2026, marking the brand’s strongest October retail performance on record.

Surging demand for affordable compact sedans and electric crossovers at Hyundai provides Canadian dealership service departments with a durable pipeline of future maintenance revenue.

Hyundai Auto Canada posted a combined delivery volume of 12,505 vehicles across its Hyundai and Genesis divisions in October 2026, marking the brand’s strongest October retail performance on record. Core Hyundai brand deliveries rose 3 per cent year over year to 11,895 units, anchored by the Tucson SUV at 3,693 sales, the Kona crossover lineup with 2,713 units, and the compact Elantra, which surged 55 per cent to 2,340 units.

For Canadian franchised dealership principals, fixed operations directors, and commercial fleet managers, these volume shifts illustrate evolving consumer sensitivity toward price point and electrified powertrain accessibility. Demand for the fully electric Kona EV increased 65 per cent year over year to 646 units, expanding the zero-emission car parc requiring specialized high-voltage service bay support. The Genesis luxury banner added 610 deliveries, led primarily by the GV70 sport utility with 402 units sold.

According to Steve Flamand, president and CEO of Hyundai Auto Canada, regional dealer-led campaigns, including Ontario’s 10th annual Hyundai Sunday and Western Canada’s Fun-Days, served as primary drivers behind the retail volume spike. Concurrently, the automaker concluded its national Hyundai Hope on Wheels healthcare initiative, surpassing funding targets with $4.8 million directed toward 16 pediatric cancer treatment facilities. Sustained showroom momentum continues to expand dealer units in operation, securing profitable post-sale warranty, mechanical service, and replacement parts capture across Canadian retail networks.
