Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) closed out the third quarter of 2026 with record-setting sales performance, propelled by surging demand for its electrified product lineup.

Surging hybrid and EV demand pushed Toyota Canada to its highest third-quarter sales volume in years across Canadian dealerships.

Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) closed out the third quarter of 2026 with record-setting sales performance, propelled by surging demand for its electrified product lineup. During the quarter, the manufacturer delivered 40,019 electrified units (HEVs, PHEVs, and BEVs), accounting for 65.7% of total TCI volume in Canada. Through the first nine months of the year, TCI has sold a record 130,369 electrified vehicles, surpassing its full-year 2025 benchmark in just nine months.

Total vehicle sales for TCI reached 70,008 units in Q3, representing an 8.3% increase year-over-year. The Toyota Division recorded its best Q3 since 2008 with 60,881 units (+6.9%), while the Lexus Division achieved an all-time Q3 record with 9,127 units sold (+18.5%).

On the domestic manufacturing front, Canadian-built RAV4 Hybrid models recorded their fifth consecutive monthly sales record in September. Similarly, double-digit monthly gains from the Canadian-built Lexus NX and NX Hybrid contributed to a record quarter for the NX nameplate. Combined zero-emission vehicle sales (BEVs and PHEVs) topped 10,114 units for the quarter, bolstered by strong demand for the bZ series, RAV4 PHEV, and Lexus plug-in hybrid lineups.
