Tested alongside 56 model-year 2026 vehicles, the compact hybrid SUV received four “A” grades and one “B” grade during hands-on evaluations assessing infant, rear-facing, front-facing, and booster seat fitment, as well as LATCH anchor accessibility.

The child passenger safety recognition complements the Tucson Hybrid’s existing safety credentials, which include a 2026 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ designation and a 2026 NHTSA 5-Star Overall Safety Rating.
