Hyundai Auto Canada Appoints Fabio Cappella as Product Director

Hyundai Auto Canada has named Fabio Cappella as its new director of product and corporate strategy.

He succeeds long-time automotive executive Michael Ricciuto, who has officially retired from the organization. Reporting directly to Steve Flamand, president and CEO of Hyundai Auto Canada, Cappella will lead the integrated product planning division, overseeing long-term business models and core corporate initiatives for both the Hyundai and Genesis brands across Canada.

Cappella steps into the executive portfolio backed by over 14 years of upward mobility within Hyundai Auto Canada, most recently serving as national manager of corporate strategy. His predecessor, Michael Ricciuto, leaves a substantial legacy in the Canadian automotive landscape; since 2010, Ricciuto shaped the OEM’s strategic direction, notably establishing the corporate strategy function and serving as the inaugural director responsible for launching the Genesis luxury brand and its distinct agency sales model in Canada.
