Hyundai Auto Canada reported eight consecutive months of record sales with a year-over-year increase of 16% in sales by the Hyundai and Genesis brands combined. Genesis Motors Canada also recorded its best month ever.

Over the weekend of May 24-25, Hyundai Canada’s Central Zone (Ontario) held a “Hyundai Sunday Event” where 1,019 new cars were sold over two days, a 25% increase over the prior “Hyundai Sunday Event” held in October last year, setting a new sales record. 

Likewise, Hyundai’s Western Zone (B.C. to Manitoba) held a “Hyundai Fun Days” event on May 24-25 weekend that sold 384 units, a 40% increase over a similar event last October, breaking a sales record for the zone.

“Consumers’ trust and opinion in Hyundai is at an all-time high,” said Jessica Todd, Director of National Sales. “Across Hyundai Canada’s portfolio, whether gasoline, hybrid, plug-in hybrid or electric, Canadians are increasingly seeing the value, excellence in customer experience, and overall competitiveness of what we offer. We’re grateful for the confidence customers have in us and for the commitment to the brand our dealers across the country continue to show.”

As well, luxury brand Genesis recorded its best month ever, selling 788 units for a 24.9% increase year-over-year.
