Fix Network announces with deep sadness the passing of Hubert So, Global Vice President of Finance, on April 28th following a brief illness.

A respected and deeply valued leader in the automotive aftermarket, Hubert brought more than two decades of financial and operational expertise to the industry. He joined Fix Network through the acquisition of TCG International, where he spent 18 years in progressively senior roles across accounting and financial planning, carrying that deep experience forward into his leadership at Fix Network.

Since joining the organization in 2017, Hubert played a central role in strengthening Fix Network’s financial foundation during a period of significant global expansion. He led efforts to modernize and scale the Finance function, helping to enable expansion across markets and bring greater clarity and discipline to franchise support. He also contributed to major acquisitions, strengthened global financial governance, and helped build scalable systems to support continued growth.

Daniel Hogg, Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer shared “Hubert was a trusted leader and a generous mentor who made people better – not just in their roles, but as part of this organization. He brought clarity, calm, and confidence to those around him, and his impact will continue to shape our teams and our network for years to come.”

President and CEO Steve Leal added, “Hubert played a pivotal role in many of Fix Network’s most important moments. But more than that, he was someone people counted on – thoughtful, steady, and genuinely kind. In an industry where people know each other, rely on each other, and show up when it matters, Hubert stood out. We have lost not only a valued leader, but a true friend.”

The automotive aftermarket is a close, connected community, and Hubert embodied that spirit. Widely respected and trusted across the network and the broader industry, he made a lasting impact on both the business and the people around him. He mentored teams, supported shop owners and leaders, and helped build a culture that felt more like a family, especially within the Burnaby, B.C. office, where he was a steady and grounding presence. Known for his warmth, humour, and generosity, Hubert built genuine relationships that extended well beyond the workplace.

Hubert is survived by his wife, Decelia, and their two sons, Jaden and Kalen, who were at the centre of his life. We will carry him with us in how we lead, how we support one another, and in the example he set every day.
