On Saturday, September 28, the Kiss CF Goodbye concert took place at the Opera House in Toronto, raising significant funds and awareness for cystic fibrosis research. Hosted by Frank and Mary Blandizzi, Owners of CARSTAR Scarborough North East, in collaboration with their friend Paul, the event united CARSTAR franchisees, corporate staff, and supporters for an unforgettable night of music and philanthropy. 

The event, led by Paul’s daughter Tori, who has lived with CF her entire life, raised an impressive $15,000 for CF research. Tori has been dedicated to supporting the CF community for over eight years, and her ongoing efforts have now raised over $90,000. This year’s concert saw strong participation from 50 CARSTAR franchisees and corporate staff, with one of the event highlights being a highly anticipated auction of a Toronto Maple Leaf jersey, which helped boost the fundraising total.  

Great fundraising efforts 

A cheque presentation to Tori took place on Tuesday, November 5, marking the culmination of the event’s fundraising efforts. Frank Blandizzi and the CARSTAR team were honoured to present the $15,000 raised to Tori, demonstrating their commitment to advancing cystic fibrosis research and supporting those affected by the condition.   

The evening was a celebration of music, community, and shared commitment to driving forward critical research for CF. Frank Blandizzi’s leadership and dedication to the cause were integral to the event’s success, and the collective efforts of everyone involved made it a night to remember.   

The concert was an outstanding success, showcasing the strength and generosity of the community in the fight against cystic fibrosis. CARSTAR is honoured to support this vital cause and remains committed to advancing research and raising awareness for cystic fibrosis. Together, we will continue the fight for a cure.
