CARSTAR Okotoks hosted its annual Customer Appreciation event over the weekend, with a phenomenal turnout of 500 attendees to join in on the celebrations. The event featured a range of activities catering to all ages and emphasized CARSTAR Okotoks’ longstanding commitment to its community.

Attendees included enthusiastic customers, children enjoying the bouncy houses, parents engaging with local businesses, representatives from the Shriners, and an appearance from the Okotoks Food Bank, highlighting the event’s community focus.

“For more than 20 years, CARSTAR Okotoks has had a dedication to supporting Okotoks residents and events like these are our way of showing gratitude and reinforcing this commitment,” said Mark Kharfan, President of CARSTAR Okotoks—MK Auto Group. “It’s not just about business; it’s about being a part of everyday life in Okotoks, supporting local causes, and creating memorable experiences for families.”

A range of activities

Activities ranged from bouncy houses for children, to giveaways of Pokémon cards and CARSTAR goodies such as sunglasses and CARSTAR’s octopus plushy toy, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy. The event also emphasized the team’s ongoing partnership with the Okotoks Food Bank, with proceeds from food sales going directly to support local families in need. There was also a donation of $710, along with CARSTAR Okotoks matching it, making the donation $1,420 towards the Okotoks food bank.

Relationships with the community

“We want to maintain our relationships with the community so that everyone knows they can count on us,” continued Kharfan. “We commit to hosting these types of events on an annual basis and we’re proud that we’ve sustained this commitment for over two decades. Whether it’s flipping burgers at community events or providing automotive services, we are proud to be a part of this community and extending our support for another 20 years to come.”

The success of the Customer Appreciation 2024 event was made possible by the dedication of CARSTAR MK Auto Group’s staff, who volunteered their time to set up, serve, and clean up, ensuring a seamless experience for the over 500 attendees.
