CARSTAR is continuing to show its support for its charitable cause, cystic fibrosis, with Edmonton-area locations going above and beyond at the annual Face Off with CF Gala.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins of the Edmonton Oilers, was the honourary chair of this event once again, bringing his support to cystic fibrosis research, care and advocacy. Attendees got to meet the player but also enjoyed a four-course meal at Chateau Lacombe and participated in both a silent as well as a live auction. CARSTAR was a Gold Sponsor, with Edmonton-area owners attending and contributing to the over $180,000 raised that evening.

“The Face Off with CF gala marks not just a celebration of generosity, but a testament to the power of our CARSTAR owners’ goodwill,” says Andrew Northrup, Zone Director, CARSTAR Canada. “Our franchisees have not only invested in their communities but in this longstanding cause and their unwavering support for this successful event exemplifies their shared commitment to making a difference in the lives of those living with cystic fibrosis.”

CARSTAR began fundraising for cystic fibrosis in Canada over 25 years ago, when a franchise partner’s granddaughter received a cystic fibrosis diagnosis. Since then, the CARSTAR commitment to its charity of choice has only grown, as have the funds raised. Passing the $5 million threshold for funds raised for Cystic Fibrosis Canada in 2023 and looks to continue accelerating its fundraising momentum to change the meaning of CF to cure found.
