CARSTAR Okotoks, owned by multi-store owner Mark Kharfan, is flipping pancakes and washing cars to leave their community better than they found it.
Earlier this Summer, CARSTAR Okotoks hosted a Stampede Breakfast for the Okotoks surrounding area for the third year in a row. Hungry attendees dusted off their boots and giddied up to feast on pancakes, sausages and beverages to celebrate the Stampede season.
Donations during this Stampede Breakfast were used to support the Ronald McDonald House and its mission of creating and supporting programs that directly improve the well-being of children.
CARSTAR Okotoks also extended their generosity this summer to support Cystic Fibrosis Canada with a “Soaps it Up” car wash funded by community donations.
Cars were washed, connections were made and a brighter future for individuals living with cystic fibrosis was advocated for.
A community effort
By the end of the week’s charitable events, $1,120 was raised to benefit the organizations of choice, Cystic Fibrosis Canada and the Ronald McDonald House.
“The Stampede season is always an exciting time to be a Canadian,” said Mark Kharfan, MK Group MSO. “It’s such a delight for the community as a whole to find ways to elevate the experience with charitable fundraisers, new and familiar friends, delicious food, and of course, unforgettable memories.”
