R.D. Abbott Co., has named Levi Jim Cottington Vice President, Head of Supply Chain.
In this vital role, Cottington is responsible for driving speed and predictable results for R.D. Abbott’s customers through prioritization, risk mitigation, and complexity management.
Before joining R.D. Abbott, Cottington was Chief Executive Officer for several different companies and held the position of Vice President for Wacker Chemical Corporation’s elastomers business in NAFTA. His experience in technical, sales, and marketing will be of added value to the organization.
Cottington began his silicones career in 1988 as a chemist for Dow Corning before joining Wacker—first in Michigan, then in Germany and India. He is a graduate of Drake University and holds a graduate certificate from Harvard Business School.
“Jim is a proven leader who has spent his entire career in the elastomers industry,” said Keith Thomas, President of R.D. Abbott. “He understands what it takes to add value in specialized areas and has enjoyed a distinguished career both in the rubber industry and in related market segments.”
Cottington started this new role on March 29, 2023.
