CARSTAR announced the opening of CARSTAR Kitchener Centre, located at 1620 King Street East, Kitchener, Ontario N2G 2P1.

Owner of CARSTAR Kitchener Centre, Michael Leung, has worked his way up within the collision industry to build a successful career, managing a collision repair centre since 1981. He then had an early retirement in 2010, travelled, relaxed and enjoyed the time off until 2012 when he decided to start over and open a new location with his son, Patrick. Now, both are fully certified, Red Seal endorsed collision repair technicians and understand the repair process from the inside and out. Having been in the area since 2012, CARSTAR Kitchener Centre is ready to continue to serve all of the Tri-Cities and Waterloo regions.

“Having been in the collision repair industry for many years, it was extremely rewarding to watch my son follow in my footsteps and join me at this collision repair centre,” says Michael Leung, Owner, CARSTAR Kitchener Centre. “After watching him for a few years, I missed the work and couldn’t think of a better way to get back into the business. My son and I are ready to take on this new challenge and with the support of CARSTAR, we’re excited to grow this store and continue our commitment to provide industry-leading repairs for our customers.”

The latest in collision repair standards and tools

CARSTAR Kitchener Centre is a 3,500 square foot facility, equipped with the industry’s latest in collision repair standards and tools. While they are looking to add additional team members, this current team of six are expertly trained to provide the community with top-level collision repair services. The store has multiple OEM certifications, including Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, Genesis and Flat Chrysler with more certifications in progress, and is ASE certified.

“Being in the collision repair industry for decades and working his way up through the ranks has helped Michael hone his skills to become a high-quality collision repair store owner,” says Dave Meery, Zone Director, CARSTAR Canada. “No matter the owner skill level or store size, we always have several facilities join our CARSTAR network for added support in succession planning, providing additional resources to the next generation of owners.”
