During a visit to Plews & Edelmann (booth #A3461) at AAPEX 2021, Tony Edwards, Vice President, Business Development provided an overview of the company’s recent products and strategic objectives.

Focusing on a Total Solution for power steering, Plews & Edelmann has been adding new products such as rack and pinion steering gears, as well as power steering pumps, plus new premium hoses.

The company’s power steering hoses are premium products designed to improve upon the original OE performance and fit requirements.

For operation in extreme climate conditions, like much of Canada, Edelmann’s line of Elite hoses provide greater durability and protection against leaks, as well as corrosion from salt spray.

Durability tested, these hoses have gone through 1.2 million cycle pulses during testing without failure and are seen as a superior option not only for motorists who live in cold and hot climates but also fleet customers.

As part of its Total Solution strategy, Edwards said that the company is continuing to add new products to its line of power steering components, including ancillary category products like reservoirs and pulleys—ensuring that shops and technicians are able to acquire everything they need for power steering systems.

Additionally, because Plews & Edelmann owns the tooling on the parts it manufactures, the result is much-improved quality and significantly less warranty claims due to component or system failure.
