Fix Auto Calgary Centre is the latest location to join Fix Network in one of the busiest neighbourhoods of downtown Calgary.

A passion

Owner Gurveer Randev believes that the aftermarket industry has always been a part of his DNA, with his family operating successful automotive and body shop businesses for decades.

Watching his kin restoring vehicles, he grew up with a fascination for everything automotive, while seeking to carve his own identity in the aftermarket industry.

“I always had a passion for vehicles and enjoyed the automotive industry and the people in it, so it was a natural next step for me to enter the industry,” he says. “It’s more than a 9-to-5 job, in the sense that you’re always doing something new and, to be honest, it keeps me around cars which have always been my first love.”

The service

Serving downtown Calgary, Inglewood and Mount Royal University neighbourhoods, Fix Auto Calgary Centre has today carved out a reputation for repairing all makes and models of vehicles according to OEM standards.

The shop prides itself on offering a world-class customer experience as well as a quick turnaround time on repairs.

“Collision repair is an industry based around people,” Gurveer says.

“We understand that a collision is a traumatic experience for our customers, and therefore we make sure that they are first comforted before we assess the damage. In addition, customers are reassured that our team of technicians can diagnose and restore vehicles to their original condition.”

With the ambition to take his business to a higher level, Gurveer looked at the pros and cons of running his own shop independently and those of operating as a franchisee.

The location

Spread over a total area of 10,800 square feet, Fix Auto Calgary Centre was recently upgraded to accommodate modern repair equipment and processes that could guarantee a high level of performance.

Recently, Gurveer added a 3D measuring system and frame pull system to the operation. As well as a resistance welder for weld-on panel replacement.

Future plans include incorporating a Spies Hecker Paint line, offering the fastest dry times and the highest durability.

Gurveer and his team are also working towards achieving industry certifications in collision repair as well as I-CAR Gold certification.

Welcoming Fix Auto Calgary Centre to the network, Chris Peterson, Regional Vice-President – Western Canada, Fix Network, says:

“Like many of our franchisees around the world, Gurveer and his team demonstrate a clear commitment towards delivering a personalized customer experience and sophisticated repair quality. Our teams are working closely with them to ensure that they benefit from our marketing support, training and management tools they need for taking their game to the next level.”
