CSN Champlain has earned their Tesla Approved Auto Body Shop Certification.

Tesla is known throughout the automotive industry for their highly advanced technology which means repairing them requires intensive training and specialized tools and equipment.

CSN Champlain – a family-owned collision centre in Moncton, New Brunswick managed by the brother and sister duo of Andrew and Mandie Barkhouse – becomes the only Tesla-certified collision repair facility in the province of New Brunswick.

“This certification means a lot to us and to the team,” said Mandie Barkhouse, co-owner of CSN Champlain.

“I’m so proud of our staff for accomplishing this, they put in a ton of hours took dozens of courses and it feels amazing to finally get to the finish line,” Mandie said.

The modern vehicle is built with more technology now than ever before and that trend will continue as manufacturers aim to meet the needs of consumers.

For repairers that means a moving target when it comes to education and training.

“We’re all about getting the latest training to stay current,” said Andrew Barkhouse, co-owner of CSN Champlain.

“Being Tesla certified separates us from the other repairers in our market and makes us the go-to facility not just for Tesla but for all EV repairs in the region.”

Certification

Tesla has a distinctively complex suite of technology that includes their trademark Autopilot software in addition to their electric powertrain.

Due to their unique engineering, Tesla demands the highest standards from their Approved Body Shop Network through meticulous training and assessment of all the technicians that will work on their vehicles.

For CSN Champlain, following OEM repair procedures is an old hat for their staff and technicians.

In addition to their most recently obtained certification with Tesla, they have proven their commitment to adhering to repair guidelines for almost every major automaker in Canada.

CSN Champlain has earned credentials for the Ford, FCA (Fiat, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, RAM), Nissan, INFINITI, and Toyota-certified collision repair programs.

“We take the repair of our customer’s vehicles very seriously and OEM certification is nothing new to us,” Andrew said.

“This is our 12^th different OEM certification which proves how committed we are to completing safe and proper repairs on every vehicle we touch at our facility.”
