CARSTAR announced the opening of CARSTAR Goderich, located at 440 Bayfield Rd, Goderich, Ontario.

Shawn Leslie, owner of CARSTAR Goderich, has been in the collision repair industry since he was 14. After working at body shops throughout London, ON, with majority of his time at CARSTAR London West, Shawn has grown tremendously in his career.

“I’m grateful for all my training over these past 20 years in several different roles, which has helped me not only understand the trade but also the industry,” says Shawn Leslie, owner, CARSTAR Goderich. “After purchasing CARSTAR Lucan in 2018, my business has grown and I’m excited to be opening my second location with CARSTAR because of the support they provide me as an owner.”

CARSTAR Goderich is a 7,200 square foot facility equipped with a strong team of expertly trained technicians including one who has been with the facility for 50 years and a painter who has been with the shop for 17 years. With newly installed state-of-the-art equipment throughout the shop, including a new frame rack, measuring system and paint booth, Shawn is excited to grow the business even more and add new technicians and apprentices to his team.

“It is exciting to see those employees of our CARSTAR owners enjoy the business so much, that they want to open up their own facilities,” says Tony Mammone, vice president of operations, CARSTAR. “We are thrilled to see Shawn invest so much into the capacity and repair quality of his facilities as we know customers in the Goderich community will appreciate this level of premier service.”

As a long-time supporter of Cystic Fibrosis Canada, the CARSTAR charity of choice, Shawn is looking to continue those fundraising efforts in the Goderich region. The team also supports causes close to their community including the local legion as well as sponsoring local community sports.
