CARSTAR Red Deer and CARSTAR Red Deer South made their annual contribution this year, with a $2,500 donation to the Red Deer Christmas Bureau and Red Deer Food Bank.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, food banks and community agencies are on the frontlines responding to the increased need, every day. Food Banks Canada cites that it is becoming more difficult for organizations to manage higher volumes of requests as they see a drastic reduction in volunteers and cancellation of fundraising events.

The Red Deer Christmas Bureau and Red Deer Food Bank both work to help those in the Red Deer and surrounding area during times of need. The vision of the Red Deer Christmas Bureau is to ensure that every child receives a toy on Christmas morning and to help all those in need enjoy a hearty meal on Christmas day. The Red Deer Food Bank, established in 1984, provides emergency food requirements for those in need for Red Deer and the surrounding area.
