The Fix Network has announced that Fix Auto Cardston now under the ownership of Kevin Leavitt.
Leavitt, who had worked in the shop earlier, bought the business from the previous owner when he decided to retire.
“I have been in the industry for 35 years starting at a very young age doing body and mechanical work in my father’s shop,” said Leavitt. He went on to pursue his education at SAIT, earning his Auto Refinishing Technician and Auto Service Technician Certifications.
The facility at Cardston was established in 1990 and has been providing collision repair services in the community ever since. In 2016, the repair facility became a part of the Fix Auto national network.
Leavitt has owned a repair shop for 15 years previously and is well equipped to take over this new responsibility. He plans to leverage his experience as a technician, manager and shop owner to expand the operations of Fix Auto Cardston further.
“Having worked in the shop and speaking with the previous owner, I decided to purchase Fix Auto Cardston based on their great reputation, the strength of a large network and solid connections with suppliers and insurance partners,” explained Leavitt.
The Fix Auto Cardston team intends to continue providing excellent service and repairs seamlessly even with the change in ownership. The network notes that the shop ensures that every repair is of the highest quality with the required attention to detail.
“We are so pleased that Kevin has taken over ownership of Fix Auto Cardston,” said Chris Peterson, Regional Vice President for Fix Network Western Canada. “His industry experience, knowledge and previous shop ownership coupled with the fact that he’s been part of the team for the past year gives us the confidence that Kevin will continue to build on the success of Fix Auto Cardston.”
