Global supplier REACH has completed the acquisition of legacy aftermarket brands Carter Engineered Quality and Airtex/ASC, bolstering its cooling portfolio while entering the fuel delivery category. According to Dee Chen, CEO of REACH’s Global Automotive Business Unit, all acquired brands will retain individual market identities while utilizing REACH’s manufacturing scale and global wholesale network to rebuild market share.
For Canadian automotive parts jobbers, warehouse distributors, and mechanical repair shop operators, corporate consolidation in critical replacement categories directly affects inventory availability and bay turnaround times. The new parent company plans to expand catalog part-number coverage, bolster regional inventory levels, and relaunch dedicated brand digital lookups to streamline ordering workflows at parts counters.
Under the expansion strategy, Carter will broaden its fuel system line beyond core pumps, Airtex will add engine sensors alongside its established cooling hardware, and ASC will continue prioritizing commercial heavy-duty diesel water pump applications. Consolidating these established product lines allows jobbers to streamline thermal and fuel delivery procurement while providing technicians with dependable coverage across aging vehicle fleets.
