Hyundai Auto Canada and its national network of 225 franchise dealers have presented a $100,000 grant to McMaster Children’s Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario, through the Hyundai Hope on Wheels foundation. The donation supports a $3-million capital campaign to acquire an Alpha Photon-Counting Computed Tomography (PCCT) scanner designed to enhance diagnostic precision and reduce radiation exposure for pediatric cancer patients.
Funded directly through a dedicated allocation from every new Hyundai vehicle sold in Canada, the foundation’s second annual cross-country tour is committing over $4.1 million to health foundations across 15 Canadian cities in 2026. In addition to local hospital grants, the initiative partners with the C17 Council to fund national pediatric oncology clinical trials.
For Canadian retail operators, aligning showroom vehicle sales with targeted healthcare infrastructure investments bolsters local community engagement and strengthens consumer brand loyalty. The 2026 tour concludes its current campaign with final stops scheduled in Toronto, Quebec City, and Montreal.
