Hyundai Motor North America has promoted Mark Kato to Vice President of Dealer Network Development.

To drive dealership profitability across North America, the automaker appoints a proven operational strategist to head its core retail distribution network.

Hyundai Motor North America has promoted Mark Kato to Vice President of Dealer Network Development. Reporting directly to President and CEO Randy Parker, Kato assumes oversight of network expansion, facility branding, and retail strategy for both the Hyundai and Genesis brands across North America.

Bringing more than 34 years of automotive industry experience, Kato has held various senior roles within Hyundai Motor America since 2011, focusing on retail process optimization, market representation, and business management. His previous position as executive director of dealer development involved managing dealer agreements, analytics, and operational support systems.

For Canadian retail operators and dealer groups, establishing experienced executive leadership over regional network operations supports long-term franchise stability. As OEMs navigate shifting retail dynamics, streamlining dealer management frameworks assists store owners in aligning facility investments with evolving sales and service requirements.
