Bosch RDS Lets Independent Shops Bypass OEM Tool Lockout

Expanding in-house repair capabilities, Bosch connects shop technicians directly with OEM software and diagnostic experts via integrated remote sessions. 

Bosch Diagnostics has launched its Bosch Remote Diagnostics Service (RDS) across Canada and the United States for users of its ADS 625X and ADS 10X Plus scan tools. Integrated into the scanner interface, RDS links shop technicians with live Bosch diagnostic experts to perform remote OEM pre/post-scans, advanced module coding, and ADAS calibrations using licensed factory software. 

For independent auto repair shops, collision centers, and glass replacement facilities, the platform bridges OEM diagnostic coverage gaps without requiring individual manufacturer tool investments or subscription maintenance.

According to Bosch Mobility Aftermarket leadership, the service operates on a flat, pay-per-use pricing model per completed task, providing verifiable PDF diagnostic reports for insurance and repair documentation.
