John Bean, a Snap-on Total Shop Solutions brand, has launched an educational video entitled “Why ADAS Calibration Matters More Than You Think”. The visual resource is designed for collision centers and mechanical repair shops to explain how routine repairs, windshield replacements, and wheel alignments alter the alignment of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) sensors and cameras. 

For shop owners, service advisors, and alignment technicians, effectively communicating calibration requirements to consumers and insurance adjusters validates necessary labor procedures while ensuring liability compliance following structural or suspension work.

According to John Bean product management, the educational asset complements the company’s Tru-Point ADAS calibration platform. The system utilizes 3D camera technology to verify wheel alignment and target placement relative to OEM specifications, generating documentation reports to confirm proper safety system recalibration.
